The Now is my plaything.

Is it yours?

  • If you can’t understand why you don’t function the way you are “supposed” to.
  • If you have a long list of failing to reach your potential.
  • And if you have surrendered to “fate” temporarily but deep inside don’t want to give up or give in.

This is only for you!

This illustrated book of poems is a deep tissue massage for your brain. Don't handle heavy machinery after. You might be too relaxed and maybe too free.

By the time the spell of this book settles in your subconscious, you will move:

  1. From productivity to pro-being-tivity.
  2. From robotically getting it done to engaging with living structures.
  3. And to embrace the gift of your design.

Most self-help books tell you what to do. Most ADHD books tell you the closest science and theories about it. How much have they helped you? 20% life improvement? 10%? Maybe 5%? Stimulants do help but they only go so far. I'm one of you so I know this intimately.

I'm a mechanical engineer by trade but my real job is solving complex problems creatively. When I discovered I had ADHD I devoted my time to finding pathways for success. Now I'm sharing what I've learned.

I promise if you’re the kind of person that believes deep down there may be an abundance of life in you, and you eagerly want to find that source of life to live more alive than ever before, I promise that if you engage your being with this book, you will discover those living things for which you will become.

I know I was made differently and I just needed to find what brings out the best in me. I want that for you too.

"a reply by @Chris_Cal_ interested me which led me to learn he's got spin on ADHD that deeply resonates with me and has created an amazing little collection of poems about it

"I thought that this would be a short review, but honestly, what @Chris_Cal_ wrote is a gem and a half, which means it deserves a thread. 👇

So, after only the first poem, I couldn't contain myself anymore and started reading them out loud (to my cat, Rhea). Maybe I'm too fond of the Dr. Seuss-ian rhymes, but the silliness and wittyness of the poems was something I couldn't resist.

And that was the point.

I think Chris really figured something out about, not to be overly dramatic about it, the human soul. You see, each of the poems speaks of your inner child, to your inner child in a way that is inviting and, in some sense, safe.

At least, it spoke to mine, and mine answered.

The most amazing thing is, I thought to myself as I was singing silly rhymes to my cat, that it is working. I was feeling more motivated about my work before I even read half of them.

Just by reading and acting silly, I was ready.

Now, the story of the main protagonists is something I really related to, because many of the thoughts and conclusions of one of them were at one time my own.

With pure sillyness, "The Now is My Plaything" walked me through the memories of my own troubles, and I emerged happy.

To the point, acceptance of ourselves is the greatest power we have over the pressures of the world.

Chris's book reminds us that this acceptance isn't a boogeyman, but a joyful remembering of the child we used to be, now all grown up, acting all dependable and serious.

I will definitely be recommending "The Now is My Plaything" to several of my friends who I know will enjoy it. Moreover, I recommend it to anyone that finds their life a little bit too serious at times.

Finally, I recommend to everyone to support @Chris_Cal_. He's a gem."
